News: We are moving our Msinga Projects under a new Organization...

Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;… Hebr.10,23

Dear Msinga Friends,            Korntal, 3rd March, 2025

Many greetings to you! I hope you are all doing well.

The year 2025 marks a significant milestone in the history of the Msinga projects, as we celebrate our 25th anniversary. While we may still seem young, we look back on a quarter of a century filled with wonderful experiences and countless lessons learned. Together with God, our incredible project partners, and you – our dedicated supporters – we have shared many meaningful moments.

At our last general meeting at the end of last year, we took a journey back to the early days of our organization. Our former chairman, Friedrich Stecher, and treasurer, Reiner Raasch, led us back to the founding year of 2000 – a year in which I, also, had the privilege to be present. Twenty-five years is a long time, and our focus has never been to celebrate our organization, but rather to reflect with deep gratitude on the many inspiring encounters and experiences we have had with our partners in Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Above all, we thank God for His constant provision, the valuable networks that have developed over the years, and the grace and love of our Heavenly Father. Time and again, He has given us the courage and strength to carry out our tasks together with our partners and to share Jesus’ love with others.

A special thank you goes to all of you who have supported the Msinga projects with such dedication and commitment over the past 25 years. Whether as members, sponsors, volunteers, or financial supporters – your invested time, energy, prayers, and contributions have made a huge difference.

There is some important news we would like to share with you…

By mid-last year, we had begun to deeply reflect on our vision for 2025. Due to health and personnel changes, we faced the question of whether it would be wise to place our projects under the umbrella of a larger organization. Managing the legal and administrative requirements of a non-profit and charitable organization requires significant energy, especially for a small organization like ours.

A key contact in this process was Kontaktmission e.V. (KM), based in Wuestenrot, Germany – an organization with which we have maintained a close relationship for many years. In the past, KM has provided us with substantial support in numerous areas of our Msinga work. Given this strong connection, we reached out to their leadership to discuss the future of the Msinga projects. We were warmly welcomed, and we are excited to share that the Msinga projects will now continue under the umbrella of KM. The name of the projects will remain unchanged, as it carries a long-standing connection for many of our donors. This unanimous decision, made at our general meeting at the end of 2024, greatly relieves our administrative burden and allows us to dedicate even more time and energy to the people we serve.

As the Msinga team, we will continue to oversee our projects as before, and I will maintain my current responsibilities as a staff member of KM.

Preparations for our transition are well underway. Over the course of the year, we will also announce the new donation account details for the Msinga projects. The support and appreciation we have received from the staff of  KM are invaluable. Their expertise and assistance have exceeded all our expectations – for this, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire KM team!

This year brings us two joyous occasions:

  • 25 years of Msinga projects (2000–2025)
  • Our transition under the KM umbrella – with gratitude and joy

With this letter, we invite you to be part of this exciting transitioning process and kindly ask for your prayers for a smooth onboarding transition.

Of course, we will certainly keep you informed about the next concrete steps in time.

We are always available for any questions or feedback.
